The field of change management is relatively young. John P. Kotter’s “Leading Change” came as late as 1995. Research nevertheless shows that most change projects fail — and despite this, there is often no place to turn for someone who wants to understand why, and what actually increases the chance of succeeding.
ledaforandring.se — the Swedish predecessor — was launched in 2008 for exactly that reason. I had become the lead change manager in a project with strong resistance and lacked a source of concrete models, experiences and guidance. Not categorical answers — but the best available basis for making better decisions.
Eighteen years and many projects later, that site has now been replaced by New2change.com. More condensed. More focused on what actually makes a difference. Still with no claim to have The Method — but with more patterns, clearer recommendations and a more honest picture of when different approaches work and when they don’t.
